Project ...

I want to make a proposal that we get a either Mordheim or Necromunda game going.

Both have FREE rules sets, with a campaign play.

Both require only 9-12 figures

Mordheim: Medieval Fantasy:
- Warbands are typically around 10 figures and consist of 1 Leader, upto 5 Heros and the rest Henchmen.
- I think these are adaptable to forces of any type up to "black powder" weapons; with a bit of tinkering of course.
- We (and by that I mean Mike) have quite a bit of terrain, village bulidings and the like.

Necromunda: SciFi:
- Gangs have a minumum of 3 members, but more typically around 10. You choose from: Leader (one only), Gangers, Heavies (heavy weapons, max 2) and Juvies (young gang members that cannot make up over 50% of your force).
- Not sure how many people have suitable scifi figures so would probably be better with the GW ones, (a gang costs about £20).
- I'm not sure what Scifi terrain we have between us but the game is aimed at a ruined city scape; not that we can't use a number of other locations of course.
- The whole scifi genre and weapon options makes for something a bit different.

Either of these COULD be a sort of project for the younger gamers to get involved with, but we should really start it off.

Anyone want to "risk" a dabble with this?

Who wants to do a small Mordheim Game with me next meeting?

Well ...

I think Necromunda would be quite exciting ... BUT for the sake of putting on a game where we could a) encourage younger players to start getting involved in getting their own little force together and b) have fun game ... lets do Mordheim.

I might get a Wood Elve force together ... MHhahahahha!

Either sounds good. If pushed I'd prefer Mordheim, I've plenty of Dark Age/Medieval/Renaissance figures we could use. Also got a number of buildings & scenery.
Should be fun.
We were discussing what the younger members could get involved in, a "junior" project if you like. Other ideas were Warhammer Ancient Battles, as there are a number of plastic figure sets available; Romans, Celts, Vikings etc.
