I'm planning to bring down Kingmaker to the next clubnight for anyone wanting a game. I'll also bring some other boardgames that I've mentioned on this thread so anyone interested can have look.

The Junta I referred to is the original game -

The other is an updated version, no doubt just as interesting.
I'll track down a copy soon.
Just to add to the mix I also have Machiavelli, a great multiplayer game but a little more complex and similar to Diplomacy (which I also have somewhere.

I think the club nights would be better with the odd board game or two thrown in.

Then we could have a managable amount of players for the big figure games so less time between player turns and no need to split commands etc.

Is this Junta? boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/84159

Some of the modern games are great but I recently played Command and Colours, Ancients which is excellent.

Hi, Col.
I've a large collection of boardgames which could get dusted down, if only there were more days in the weekend. I've been suggesting that we should have at least one boardgame on the go at each clubnight if only to ease the numbers trying to play some of the figure games. Kingmaker, Machiavelli or Britannia might fit the bill. Now if I just had a copy of Junta...

Hi Col

I don't think there is a board gaming club on the island but there are alot of us in this club that have a large collection of board games from columbia games stuff to arkham horror.

I am a big board game fan and have a fair few.

All the best

Hi All,
I'm a recent migrant to the Isle of Man, and also a pretty keen boardgamer, everything from old school Avalon Hill to the latest Eurogames - not so much Figures I'm afraid. I was wondering if there were any boardgaming groups on the Island who played regularly

Cheers

Col
