RPG Campaign There are 9 replies
Original Message posted by Ssendam on 15/01/2010 at 11:09:24AM
I'm thinking of putting together an RPG campaign for anyone interested.

It's not intended to play on any club nights but at the same time I only envisage playing maybe once every 3/4 weeks, (although in between sessions there will be interaction/planning).

The games for consideration would be Runequest, which is a realistic fantasy based game or Call of Cthulhu, which is a deadly 1920's based game.

Both campaigns would be written by me, (well the start of each is mostly done already). Chris has played in one of my campaigns before, which I think he enjoyed.

Anyone interested?

Gee thanks Mike, a whole 2 hours :P

Well...

At this stage I really need 2 things:

Firstly a list of those people who are interested in playing.

Secondly an idea of the character you want to play. Think here about Male/Female; Profession; Age; Nationality; Rough Background.

Depending on the answers to these questions I will construct a campaign. As an initial plan I am thinking of British (Manx?) characters around 1914-19. The idea of this wold be a short-ish intro scenario as a prelude to something bigger.

I'll post a list of professions from the book tomorrow but don't feel constrained by them.

Just finished an Age of Eagles game with Viking Hero & Simon. A close run thing at Quatre Bras. Good to see you all posting whilst my back was turned.
Call of Cthulhu sounds a good idea then. You've had an hour or two to put it together - so when do we start?

Damn ... That puts me in the frame for a campaign! :-)

I'll think about it tonight and do a post offering guidance requesting ideas for characters people want to play.

Thinking about it, I would actually prefer to be part of a call of cuthulu campaign first if you are going to run one.

I love the setting and it would be good experience for me to be in a campaign before I run my own.

Well If I run something it looks like it will be Call of Cthulhu ...

However, I'm not keen to double up on commitments so if you want to run Dark Heresy I'll hold off. Chris mentioned something about you wanting to play in a campaign first hence my initial offer. :-)

Hello guys

Love the forum, been too busy to post until now.

I am looking to run a Dark Heresy game soon. The mission will more than likely run over 4 sessions.

I will need 3 or more agents for the mission. Without giving to much away the first mission takes place in a wrecked imperial frigate.

So I can gauge interest, are any of you up for the mission?

I would also love to play in a call of cauthulu game.

Well I't between Runequest and Call of Cthulhu. I won't touch SciFi as Steve is looking at that for the future.

Can we get Steve on here? and Tom too?

I certainly have played in (more than) one of your campaigns and did indeed thoroughly enjoy myself.

Runequest/Sci-Fi are my preferences.

Regards,
Chris

Yes, I'd be interested. Personally I'd prefer Cthluhu or a SciFi setting but Runequest isn't a problem.
